Who will you share my child's information with?
When I first come to meet you I will bring along a consent form that I will ask you to fill in and sign. This follows the new data protection laws. With your permission, I will gather and share information with your child's teaching staff, and their NHS Speech Therapist, if your child has one. This is a good idea as this helps to work together effectively so everyone around your child is working towards the same goal. This will also have a wider impact on the outcome of the therapy.
How many therapy sessions will my child need?
This depends on the intervention your child requires and what needs to be worked on. All of the therapy I provide is personalised so it is individual to what your child needs. Taking this into account, therapy is needed for as long as it is needed and the session length can also vary depending on your child's attention and engagement. I will make sure the therapy sessions suit both you and your child.
What happens if I need to cancel a session with you?
Please let me know as soon as possible if you need to cancel a session. Please give a minimum of 24 hours notice, if not full payment for the session will be due.
